The USGBC developed the LEED^® Rating System,
a leading-edge system for designing, constructing, operating and certifying
the world’s greenest buildings. LEED^® stands
for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design.

LEED® WAS CREATED TO: • Define "Green" building by establishing a common standard of measurement • Promote integrated, whole-building design practices • Recognize environmental leadership in the building industry • Stimulate green competition • Raise consumer awareness • Transform the marketplace

CaGBC and USGBC CERTIFY BUILDINGS FOR LEED® There are 4 Award Levels :
	CAN US • Certified Level 26-32 points 40-49 points • Silver Level 33-38 points 50-59 points • Gold Level 39-51 points 60-79 points • Platinum Level 52+ points 80+ points
The CaGBC, through a licensing agreement with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), implements the LEED® Green Building Rating System in Canada.

LEED CATEGORIES AND ARCHITECTURAL FLUSH WOOD DOORS There are seven main areas (categories) of project design and construction. Category • Sustainable Sites • Water Efficiency • Energy • Innovation and Design • Materials & Resources(1) • Indoor Environmental Quality(1) • Regional Priority(1)(2) (1) These categories apply to Architectural Flush Wood doors. (2) US market only. Lambton Doors products can contribute to the calculation of points for projects pursuing LEED® certification. Materials and Resources Intent Lambton Doors' products that apply Credit 4 LEED MRc4 1-2 points Recycled Content Increase demand for building products that incorporate recycled content materials, therefore reducing impacts resulting from extraction and processing of new virgin materials. Particleboard 5-PC, 7-PC, 5-8300, 7-8300 5-FSPC 5-UFPC Agrifiber 5-AG45, 7-AG45, Credit 5 LEED MRc5 1-2 points Local / Regional Materials Increase demand for building materials and products that are extracted and manufactured within the region, thereby supporting the use of indigenous resources and reducing the environmental impacts resulting from transportation. Encourage environmentally responsible forest management. FSC Certified Stave Lumber Core 5-FSLC FSC Certified Particleboard Core 5-FSPC Indoor Environmental Quality Intent Lambton Doors' products that apply Credit 4.1 LEED EQc4.1 Low-Emitting Materials Adhesives and Sealants Reduce the quantity of indoor air contaminants that are odorous, potentially irritating and/or harmful to the comfort and well-being of installers and occupants (EQc4.1 and EQc4.2 apply for on-site application, although Lambton Doors is compliant). Lambton Doors' factory finishing utilizes a UV curing system with no voc’s. All our EnviroDesign SeriesTM doors. All Lambton Doors' laminate adhesives are urea formaldehyde free with voc’s < 0.683 g/L.
