UV Factory Finishing

Our U.V. finishing system is engineered to deliver exceptional durability, long-term protection, and a refined appearance across all of our door series.

Designed to meet or exceed AWI TR-8 and OP-8 standards, as well as the AWS System 9 requirements and WDMA I.S.1A Extra Heavy Duty Standard, this advanced finishing process ensures superior performance in even the most demanding environments. The finish features a semi-filled appearance with a smooth satin sheen between 30 and 35 degrees, creating a rich and elegant aesthetic that enhances the natural beauty of the wood.

Using a high-performance roller coat application system, the stain penetrates deep into the wood pores to achieve a deep, consistent, and luxurious finish. Our U.V. coating is composed of 100% polyurethane solids, significantly outperforming traditional catalyzed lacquer and standard catalyzed polyurethane systems in both durability and protection. In addition to its exceptional strength, the finish is environmentally responsible, containing no volatile organic compounds (VOC) and maintaining a crystal-clear, non-yellowing appearance over time.

Built for long-term reliability, the finish offers outstanding resistance to wear, moisture, solvents, chemicals, impact, printing, and cold checking. It is specifically designed to withstand daily use in high-traffic environments while maintaining its appearance and integrity. ASEPTI is an antimicrobial surface treatment for wood doors and frames that helps inhibit the growth of bacteria, mould, mildew, and fungi. Powered by ionic silver technology, it provides long-lasting surface protection while maintaining the appearance and performance of the door, making it ideal for healthcare, education, and other high-traffic environments.

EDGEFENDER

We know that a high percentage of damage to doors occurs on the door edges. We also know that a majority of people appreciate the inherent value and deep rich beauty of wood. That’s why LAMBTON DOORS offers solid core wood interior doors with its EDGEFENDER option: the impact-resistant door edge protector.

EDGEFENDER is the ideal solution for protection against repeated impacts on door edges caused mostly by users, employees and maintenance staff who circulate withsuitcases, carts of all kinds, beds and stretchers, housekeeping devices and other equipment. The impact-resistant door edge protector is indicated for heavy-traffic buildings, such as hospitals, hotels and schools.

Available with our ASEPTI antimicrobial coated surface option and in our no urea formaldehyde EnviroDesign Series™. Available in a fire-rated door up to 90 minutes, as well as lead lined, acoustical, standard and oversized doors.
